## It started with a borrowed umbrella

We met in the rain outside a bookshop in 2019. Sam offered his umbrella; Maya kept it for three weeks.

Six years, two cats and one very long walk in the Lakes later, Sam asked, and Maya said yes before he had finished the question.

- **Are children welcome?** — We love your kids, but this one is adults only.
- **Gifts?** — Your company is plenty. If you insist, we are saving for a honeymoon in Japan.
